Phew! Shaking my head like a bear coming out of the cave after that one. It had everything.. terrorists roaming in the streets shooting people, my aged Ma in her nursing home needing rescue, (but clueless as to her surroundings).. People expecting or waiting on me to do several things at once and get them done yesterday. Even the drumkit I was playing in the bookshop at the start was set up wrong and I wasn't allowed to change it.
Anxiety, I have told you before, you are not allowed into my dreams. Shoo!

Going to archive this one for now as it's simply adding pressure sitting there, and I don't need pressure to do anything else right now. Will un-archive it as soon as more time and delight become available.
Created a new goal — Scan + archive a notebook
Since the focus of life right now has had to shift to clearing my old life out of someone else's life, and since I have oodles of notebooks and scribbled ideas to safeguard, I'll make this a goal to add to the fun and spice things up a bit.
Scanned notebooks will, I hope, turn out to be notebooks used.. at least if I ever run out of material, or just for inspiration in general.
Best way is to simply make it all part of the plan. Good! :) :)

100 dreams? That's nice.. :)
This one had a surreal sci-fi tinge. A kind of theme park ride in the heart of a Judge Dredd-style city. In the cage of the ride, I was given custody of a white-grey bunny who was supposed to calm me down, but the little blighter bit my hand. Hmmm.. Where's Alice when you need her?

It sounds like it has indeed been a week. No time for dreams, nor dreams logs. Hope it's nice getting back into the swing of it.
It is. Thanks! :D
Strange to let them just slip through my mind's fingers like that.. They were still there, the dreams, I just had to let them go. Still feel a little bit like lost children.

Stretching the bounds of goals again today as this one was more reading than specifically writing blogs, but plenty of ideas are percolating, (hello Bec :)), and I do believe you've got to read blogs, (or any form), to contribute to them or create your own.
Have to say, apart from the thumping headache (non-alcohol related, I assure you), this has been one of the best Sunday read-abouts (reading-rambles?) in years. There is some simply amazing stuff out there. Way better than the Sunday papers.
Thank you blogosphere.. :) You'll be hearing from me.. :)
Can't wait! And if you've got any tips from your reading ramble - let me know. Still so much to learn.

No log of today's dream as it quietly slipped away while waking.
But I just found and scanned one written on a piece of paper from 17th September 1989. What's that? Nearly 25 years ago?
So that's 0/10 for today's effort, but an 8/10 for longevity. Hm.
Congratulations — Feed your Social Media platform.
Clearing a lifetime of papers again today (with some social media on the side).
Just found to do lists:
30th May 2002: "POEMS!"
3rd June 2002: "PAPERWORK DAY -> Clear as much as you can!"
4th June 2002: "BOXES DAY -> Clear as many and chuck out as much as possible!"
I write this surrounded by boxes and paper (and boxes of paper). And some poems. Hm.

Have just realised that achieving this marks a bit of a watershed for me. Writing a reply to Arike just now made me clock that my old tagline of "Have ideas, need focus" doesn't quite fit any more. I could have changed it to: "Have ideas, got a bit more focus" (:)), but in the end went for:
Writer who is also setting up a small social media + website business as support for the fevered scribbling.

Rly? I follow a few simple rules..
But I know nothing will really take off properly (authentically?) until I am writing/sharing useful content on my own blog..
Yours is full of so much well-researched and genuinely valuable information, that I have blog envy (is that a thing? Or have I just made up a thing? :) :)). Twittering away about Marmite like I do seems a bit trivial in comparison.
What you say does give me more confidence that I could make a go of Social Media Marketing for clients + other people though. I do enjoy it (fits well with my geeky, short attention-span monkey mind I guess.. :)).

While I cleared my work den in the garage yesterday I found not one but two sets of papers, (one from 1991, and another from 1996), where I was berating myself for being too anxious and not just letting the creative stuff OUT.
Given the timeframes we're talking about here, this was both a happy and a painful discovery. So braced with that, and the fire of the inspiration from waking up this morning with a complete game in my head, I am now writing some things which have been floating around for the novel for a couple of days. Have to trust that somehow everything that needs to will get done.. And have to foreground what I want to be doing the most. Time is just too bloody short!
Will update this later with a wordcount.. #amwriting :)
WORDCOUNT: 3626
An important character's perspective on a major scene. And plenty of food for thought. Hmmmm.. :)
p.s. I make that 13659 words done towards this goal so far, which makes 1341 to go by next Monday. Will try! :)
I know...!! Now down to 274 by 26th May.. Should be doable.. Fingers and toes crossed.. :)

He's back home. Still not great but the docs are on the case now. Heart trouble, on the very day I dug the final resting place for my Mother's ashes in the churchyard. Thankfully we were still able to have the small service to inter her ashes yesterday morning, and Step-pa was just out of hospital, so was able to be there.

1800 words this morning - in a stream after the dream log, the way it's meant to be. Didn't work writing last night, and frustratingly so.. which means this moght be the way. Would love to come back to things tonight, but let's see, there's plenty of mundane stuff in here to get done today. Such is life.
Will make this the exclusive novel Goal/Dream then, and the other one, for 15,000 words, will now fit for some other creative work I need to do. Deadline happens to be the 26th of May too, so that works! :)

Tracked for a second time — Complete the first draft of my novel by 1st May 2015 + send it to someone for checking by 5th May 2015! :D
Big decision day. Just realised that if I am ever going to get this novel finished, I have got to set a deadline and work back from that.
So copying all the word counts of the novel over from the two 15,000-word goals to here, I have done the rather nice number of 12012 + 1436 = 13448 words in very rough first draft form on the novel since I started tracking it here. These are super-rough draft words. And of course I have to edit the thing too.
So how about I aim for missing out on evening TV 4+ nights per week, and aim to write 1-2 hours then? Let's give that a try and then ratify the goals, calendar and dreams from there.. Sorted! :) :)
Sorted indeed! Look at those numbers piling up - v exciting. Good luck with missing TV and writing instead.

4153 words. In another rush. Two sessions, but mostly just at the end there to get it all down. Including two important smaller characters, and motivations in the back-stories of two of the major characters.
And all four squares here are lit up in yellow, which is remarkable for me and extremely nice I must say.. :) Some smaller things, some larger, but it feels great, and is something to aim for again I think.
Hmmm..! :) :)

Ideas are coming for blog posts. Two or three tonight in quick succession - which is good 'cos I knows I'll need 'em down the line, and how.. :)
Strange not logged anything on this goal throughout the whole month of April though, because ideas have been coming in spurts all through. Hmmmm...
But I guess I initially thought of this goal as a 'congrats, you have actually finished an blog post!' kind of gig. Can I log ideas? Quite a lot of notes and thoughts written in them.. Not just bullet-pointed lists.
Aw heck.. yeah, GO for it, get the encouragement you can Jones, and then go mad and actually FINISH some of the blighters.. :)
Slowly but surely Write-Track you are helping me crank the handle and raise my game. Daily breadcrumbs (as opposed to carrot-stick). Support here in conjunction with a few chosen apps and other things, (especially when in total isolation here in the sticks), means much.
Perhaps there can be life in this old Model T word-production line after all? :) Crank the handle, crank that handle.. :)

Ahh poopz. Had to extend this deadline until May, in terms of the actual wordcount.
But did some stuff today. Not, unfortunately something nice and juicy on the novel, which is what I wanted and planned to do, but some kind of 'homework' for something else. Seeing the guy tomorrow and wrote it a while ago, but it needed to be edited and printed today. So. There you go.
And since this here is a catch-all goal (necessarily so while I'm setting up the business as well), then these 4524 words, written elsewhen, edited today, count. So they do.. :)

One of those very unusual mornings when I don't remember my dreams. At all. ~:/
According to the sleep logging app I use, I slept more deeply than usual, so perhaps that's why?
Why then am I writing this in my dream log? Because before I went to sleep, in that dozing, half-gone state, I had an absolutely cracking idea for my novel, which I think/hope fixes a whole raft of problems. So I scribbled it in the dark on the back of some instructions for something (Ooops! :)). Even better, it's still legible and makes sense this morning.. :) So I think it can go here. Think I'll allow that.
Thank you dreams.. :)
That sounds very exciting. It was almost like you were lucid dreaming, so I wonder whether that connects a certain part of your brain and used up your dreams?! I hope it translates from the scribbles into the plot.
Thanks! Yes it did have that sense of lucidity about it, at least when I wrote it. The actual words on the page are a bit less 'lucid' however, but luckily still legible.
I like your idea that writing just before sleep somehow hoovered out my dream reservoir for that night! Could be.. could be.. :) :)

Am in South Warwickshire here (a stones-throw South of Stratford-upon-Avon), and the car has been covered in dust for several days. That's the last time I make rash promises on Write-Track.. Jinxed it! :)
Created a new goal — write 2x every week
Great work - review your progress — Feed your Social Media platform.
Been thinking for a few days - it's time to split these two Goals up now. To date this one has mainly been tweets plus other Social Media maintenance, so it can stay that way. Such things are more do-able every day, (and in fact are necessary to do pretty much every day), so let's keep that streak going here.
The new Goal will be blog posts. Target: two per week. Have a website that I need to feed some good written content and images to before I launch it.
So, onwards and upwards. Let's ratchet things up a notch and see how we go.. :) :)
See how much you've achieved - check your calendar — Dream Log (plus)
Two dreams again, which is interesting. Both more anxious than the usual but some good character traits in the second one. And much food for thought. Hmmm..
Congratulations — Feed your Social Media platform.
Micro blogging - i.e. at present, tweets. Innit. :)
On schedule — Dream Log (plus)
Two dreams, one surreal, one sad. One story idea in the second. Hmmm..
Tracked — Dream Log (plus)
Just today - by a fingernail. Not a dream diary, for various reasons, but a lot of thoughts and ideas, including an opener for a short story set in the landscape we drove through today - which was Springing.. and beautiful.. :)
See how much you've achieved - check your calendar — Feed your Social Media platform.
Keep writing — Feed your Social Media platform.
Mainly a day on images for my website and ident. Didn't get as far as writing the posts I wanted to. Still, it was fun and creative. (I like pictures very much too.. :))
This was followed by some tweets and Twitter 'maintenance' (for which read link-hopping and generally disappearing into the digital hinterland.. William Gibson would be proud! :)). Great, so now I have a returned Twitter addiction to deal with too. Get to bed kiddo and get some bloody sleep! ~:o :) :)

Yup. Plus seven hours on my first Business proposal. But we're not going to count that. This is for the tweets and networking connections, and hopefully soon also for some blogs - better for some blogs. Tomorrow = website, Sunday = Novel. I promise. :)

Great progress — Dream Log (plus)
Yup. Vivid and interesting. No stories per se, but again some very useful pointers for waking life. The more I pay attention to dreams, the more... useful they seem to become. Nice to be back on the road. Let's see if I can go for all yellows again by day's end.. :)
Keep writing — Feed your Social Media platform.
Tweets, carefully thought through and out, so counts. I like having all my Goals up there as yellows. Brightens the day considerably.. :)
Have to see if I can do that much more often. Structure the day accordingly to support. Thank you Write-Track.. :) Good feels.. :)
Took my first step! — Get 15,000 words in first - second draft form, on any personal project, in two (three) months.
1626 Words and a whacking great chunk of character study done on a major character. This on the novel, which it seems I haven't visited since the 17th of Feb, (when things became really hectic with the business malarkey).
Never mind. Begin again. Ahh, the sheer bloody joy of writing! :D :D <3.
On track — Dream Log (plus)
Small, but there. Today's the day I send off the business plan, so with luck there's more to follow here as I intend to celebrate with some more in-depth Creative Writings as soon as I'm free.. :)
Another step taken — Feed your Social Media platform.
Keep writing — Dream Log (plus)
Lots of words this morning. Some dream diary, some spilling out into waking diary, all beneficial.. :) Then an idea for an unrelated short story just burped itself out a while ago. Perhaps it's more dainty (and also more accurate), to say it coalesced, but I was afraid I couldn't spell that.. :) :)
If I get a decent number of words out on that piece as a sketch of an idea, might add it to the 15,000 word target. Just an arbitrary number, but let's say it has to get to 500 words to count. Then all my Goals will be yellow in one day - a nice little encouragement! :D
Great progress — Dream Log (plus)
A lot of words this morning, a week ahead of Mother's Day, for certain reasons.. and then some more this evening finally getting an email written to a writerly friend.. :) It all counts.
Tracked five times — Feed your Social Media platform.
Likkle bit done today. But since I did a few things earlier in the week which I forgot to track, and as it's Spring (allegedly), and Sunday (Yay for holidays), I'm going to cut myself some slack.. :)
Tracked four times — Feed your Social Media platform.
Tracked three times — Feed your Social Media platform.
Ah. Been tweeting most days, but forgot to log as not so much substantial writing. OK. Tweets are still creative! :) And also do move things in good directions. So.. *remember to log themz*.. :)
To value tweets or not? That is the question. I reckon they are a good exercise and discipline for writers, but can be such a distraction! As long as you're writing...

Second step taken — Feed your Social Media platform.
Some tweets and a rough, daft blog post. Just experimenting really to see what's changed. Nothing on the blog will be ready to publish for a while yet, but progress (and learning) is happening all the time behind the scenes.. :)
On schedule — Dream Log (plus)
Not the dreams today but the Business Plan. Dreams of a kind then.. :)
Took my first step! — Feed your Social Media platform.
Created a new goal — Feed your Social Media platform.
So. Suddenly it seems that I am creating a blog + social media accounts and just beginning to build a platform for this new business (and for my own work too). All a bit of a surprise. Kind of like popping out a baby when you didn't know you were pregnant. And like any infant, it's going to need feeding. #Uh-ohwhatHAVEIdone? :D

Ha, so much for my crowing that I'd got writing every morning taped. But still, I will allow that that was SOME week. So.. we'll just call it a little wobble and get right back on the road.. :) :)
If we never wobbled we'd never find out what steady means. Glad that week is over - hope this one is better.
Thanks! Yes.. it's being much better... :) Good thought too. I used to berate myself highly, but am trying to be a bit kinder these days. Seems to help.. :)

Step taken — Dream Log (plus)
Dream diary (more other stuff soon :)). Dream was interesting: In one section, Stephen Fry was gazing intently at a large painting by an old master and sobbing quietly. Seeing me nearby, he asked me if I thought it wrong to be moved this much by mere paint, and I said 'no, not at all, it's meant to move you. If it isn't moving you tremendously, a painting like that isn't doing it's job'. He nodded, and went again into his deep reverie.
Would that I could be that insightful or articulate if I ever met him in real life! :D
ROFL.. :) :) You can <italics> of course :) :). However it gets a bit hectic in there sometimes. #WhoNeedsCheeseDreams.. :)
Created a new dream — Submit a Short Story to a magazine or competition on Duotrope or elsewhere.. :)
Another step taken — Stabilise my Creative Writing practice into a regular, near as possible to daily, routine.. :) :) And thereby PRODUCE stuffs!! :D
Housekeeping again: Very pleasantly surprised to realise this dream has kind of happened. Proof that tracking works I guess, *sheepish grin*. Going to archive for now, but will bring out of retirement in future if I need reminding.
*second sheepish grin followed by dancing like Snoopy.. :)* Thank you! :D
Created a new goal — Get 15,000 words in first - second draft form, on any personal project, in two (three) months.
Tracked five times — Work for the Tara programme; Proofreading, editing, recording, etc. Ongoing..
Bit of housekeeping. Going to archive this goal as it's ongoing work on a project for other people. This involves doing voice-overs and some proof-reading and editing, so it's definitely wordy, but with 20 days and some words of my own logged on here now, I want to use Write-Track to hone in and focus better on my own stuff.
Good backup and experiment though. Thank you Tara.. :)

I thought about it for two days, and with some encouragements from friendly quarters, have decided that 15000+ words in the bag is 15000+ words in the bag - even if the document is not one I had anticipated writing when I originally set that goal. They might be first to second-draft words, and they might be part of something still in progress, but... the point surely is to achieve goals and be happy, and then set more goals.
I wouldn't have achieved this I don't think without having used Write-Track for tracking. So am very glad of that too. Now I will have a think about how best to continue, and perhaps simplify my goals down to two. Forgive the thinking out loud. This too helps.. :) :)
Great work - review your progress — Dream Log (plus)
Congratulations — Dream Log (plus)
Dream diary and thence to work. Still thinking about the 15,000. Let's see. :)
Closer to that goal — Dream Log (plus)
Now at 15359 words in 14.83 hours in 4 days on this piece of writing. Don't ask me to do the maths out from the decimal hours, I am knackered and will flub it, but it seems like it's almost 15 hours there. Phew!
And I'm wondering.. since it has become of that scale, despite the speed, whether I can <italics> actually claim that I've reached my other goal here on the site of 15000 words? I wonder this because although this isn't the Novel or Short Stories I set out to write in that goal, (this is, in fact, largely autobiographical stuff I would never publish), I have really gone at this, and am now working to refine it. Plus it is something non work-related that I needed to do. So..
Too tired to even punctuate properly. Sleep, rest, have a break, and think about it... Hmmmm...
Keep the habit — Dream Log (plus)
Not the dream diary and not the novel, but also not for work, and am writing like fury, so that's a plus.. :) 8244 words in a little over five hours; three today and two yesterday. Foof! And..
Hmmmmmmmm.. :)
Another step taken — Dream Log (plus)
Back on the wagon. Feels good. Am going to have to revise that word deadline date though. That ever-present pain-in-the-articles thing we all know, of having to earn some mullah. Not even going to say 'hopefully once the business is up and running I can schedule some time'.. but I am thinking it.
Will revise deadline for May. Let's see..
Tell me about it! It's tough to focus each day on finding time in between the work, but waiting for the day when the money flows it's just an excuse. I am in awe of how you manage to juggle everything, even with little necessary pauses to pay the mortgage - you get so much done.
Another step taken — Dream Log (plus)
Not the dream, that was a nightmare.. but some other stuff I needed to get done. Good.. :)
Keep writing — Dream Log (plus)
Dagnabbit! Again this is all I have done so far today. Clearly need to manage my time better somehow. Setting up as a freelance at the moment and doing a business plan for that, but still got to try to squeak some Novel time in here somehow. Sigh.. :<
Good luck with the freelancing. I balance freelancing with the novel (and family) and - fingers crossed - it's working well, and I hope it does for you.

Recorded the VO's for D+N 27-29, which was possible now that the wind has finally died down. Eerily quiet out there now, but there's more to come apparently. Hmmmm.. Take care out there UK folks..
Novel: Placing previous ideas and writings into line with the new plot structure in Scrivener, beginning more formalised character studies and also to tidy house for the great push ahead. Pus about 1000 words of dialogue/exposition for a couple of linking scenes, and a macro To-Do list for the whole project going forward. Again, happy and excited.. :)

Had to do this this afternoon today, but that's okay every now and then. Another vivid dream, and more sadness in life. But am keeping going.
'Tis the way of it..

Novel Plotting V1, finally :). 32 Plot Cards created in Scrivener. Incredibly useful. Can see what works, what's still outstanding, the holes, ideas and questions, good sequences, where to go next, what to target and what to write up next, etc. etc.
Now hopefully I can block off sections to write in the chunks of time I have available. Hopefully. Looking forward to it. Got to make it happen..
Happy Days.. :)

252 words in a very vivid scene, and a LOT more research for one character's background. So good to get back to this! I do need to write to time rather than mood though. Granted it's been a heavy couple of days, but still, 'I wasn't feeling like getting in depth on the writing' is no excuse. Plus I have had a plotting plan in my mind for a few days now. Perhaps that at least I can get down later today, then block off more time tomorrow.
I love you tomorrow. You're always a day away..
Assisted with a personal statement for someone in this team. Went well. Helped a lot, and that help both our confidences.. :) Good.. :)
On track — Dream Log (plus)
Done did this morning. Less 'epic' than yesterday, but that's nae bother. Still trying to carve through the busy to get to Novel-writing time though. Might have to be much later in the day, but am determined it WILL happen. Definitely beginning to see again the value of writing times set in stone.
Hmm - I think you might be right. Carving in stone and attaching some sort of logic to a mechanism which pokes me in the eye if I don't write at that time, and if I do, cuts off my access to the internet.
Tracked — Dream Log (plus)
Yup... swimming up from the depths this morning brought an entirely new story/world which just HAD to be written down anyway; a slew of vivid ideas for my old/new job (which may or may not be possible, but hey); and solutions to the problem of the estranged flat I can't get back to in Nepal. So, I'll take that as a yes to this goal for certain.. :) Perhaps I should watch the Superbowl and get to sleep at gone 6am every night/morning..?
... Hmmm... maybe not! :)
A day of small fry but no major plans tomorrow BTW, so hoping against hope, planning against plans to get some words down on the novel. <- Said to self by way of 'encouragement'. Let's see.. :D
Closer to that goal — Work for the Tara programme; Proofreading, editing, recording, etc. Ongoing..
Four more done and dusted today. Good feels.. :D Now I just need to get to my own stuff again, but some things are in the works on that too, so am optimistic.. :) :)
Closer to that goal — Dream Log (plus)
Yup, managed to write first thing. This morning seems a long way off now though :). It was a dream-diary entry rather than morning pages per se. However that's worked for me in the past and is something I still do relatively often anyway, even without the encouragement of a set goal, so let's see if I can keep that one going for now.. :) :)

Going to try writing Diary/Morning Pages most days to help me wake up in the right way. Small manageable goal. Let's see how it goes. Nice! :)

Ti-ny bit more compiling today. Remembered a story that fits in here, and made a space for it. That's good.. :) Hopefully some actual scribbling can happen tomorrow/soon.. :)
Yes. Four more in the bag today, despite a heck of amount of noise. Couple more tomorrow then I can get on with some of my own things again. Phew! :)

Quick 143 word snapshot character image and title for a new story this morning. Fits in this Collection (#1), but also links to an idea I realised fits better in #2 (and will compile into #2 when time, hopefully tomorrow).
The creative process never, ever, ceases to amaze.. <3 :)

Great progress — Proofread and record Wisdom 17+18
Ooops! Finished this two days ago and forgot to track as have been wrestling with the 'busy-octopus' again.. Might leave off putting these on Write-Track in future as they are projects for other folks. Still writing and working with words.. but... Hmmm... What's the thinking on this guys? Think now that I have some goals again for my own writing, that should take priority here, cos even if tracking other projects is still valuable (and it is for me), my own writing is what's been fighting for air. Thoughts? Comments? What do other people do? Thx! :)
I try to make specific goals for my own writing, but as I do a lot of writing for work I have a 'cheat' goal of write something every day, so even when I've failed to work on my own projects I know I've been writing. Perhaps just call the goal writing for others?
That makes a lot of sense! Calling other people's stuff just one thing stops me from overwhelming my own writing goals, but also does give me something I can log every day in a pinch. Me like. Thanks! :)
Congratulations — I aim to get 15000 words in the bag by Friday 14th March 2014.. :)
Tiny 184 word addition to the novel, recording an idea I had the other day. Visiting relatives yesterday, today and tomorrow. In Brum. So we saw the new Library of Birmingham today. Hummmm... :)

All done bar the final checks and posting. Phew! Am away visiting relatives this week, but hope to find some time for a quick scribble in the evening as they are larks and I'm an owl. Talons crossed! :)
Well done! It's so encouraging seeing writers like you achieving their goals. Time I achieved the next task of my own...

1610 words of a complete story last night, plus more ideas today. As written elsewhere, am considering splitting this dream into tracks for Story and Novel. Let's see.. :)
Opps that's a bit weird. I am creating bugs. Well we'll look into this, and leave you to decide whether to split your goal...
Wow! That's kind of neat actually.. :) I was stunned to see I had 12 notifications! :) Hope it's not too tough to fix..
Still not sure whether to split this or not. Think I should revise the goal to explain that these will be 15,000 First Draft words, decidedly not yet the finished article.. Hmmm.. nuances, nuances.. :)
Congratulations — Stabilise my Creative Writing practice into a regular, near as possible to daily, routine.. :) :) And thereby PRODUCE stuffs!! :D
OK. So the flood gates have opened. Wrote on the novel yesterday afternoon and a whole short story, which has been on the back burner for a while, came out in a straight first-draft flow from start to finish last night. It's not finalised in any way of course, but the whole story has now arrived (and been added to the new Project doc), so that's a great feeling.. :) However, this story kept me up until gone 2am, (a perennial problem), so have got to remember the methods for controlling and moderating the tumult. Perhaps the copy of The Clockwork Muse, which arrived yesterday, is here in the nick of time. Tired but happy.. :) Better get to my other commitments now though. Such is life..

Bother. Official letter mark ii = no work on either my own stuff or this external project today. Drats! Going to console self with reading about writing before bedtime, and hope the muse doesn't strike as am knack'd (am I allowed to say that on National Television? :)).
As I just posted elsewhere... 1709 words in one of those super-torrents today. And a return to the Novel. Of course not all useable, but the idea is there for a sudden and dramatic new chapter, perhaps a turning point for the character in this book. How many moons since I had the chance to do this? Too long! :D
Keep the habit — I aim to get 15000 words in the bag by Friday 14th March 2014.. :)
1709 words today in a glad and happy return to the Novel. It was a new scene which arrived and sent me broadsides.. but that's not a bad thing at all. It feels so good to have the fingers on the keys and to enter that space again! :) :)
Closer to that goal — Stabilise my Creative Writing practice into a regular, near as possible to daily, routine.. :) :) And thereby PRODUCE stuffs!! :D
So, I realised that I write quite a lot in my working life too. Which is good, but it also means that I need to schedule time for both that and my own writing to get the best amount of time for both (especially my own stuff, which ALWAYS gets squeezed the latest deadline (and there are always those)).
Which means that I used Write-Track to set goals for professional writing-type activities like proofreading and recording voice-overs for this project I am working on with others. That way, I get this things done in a more goal-centred manner, and also can then make available creative writing slots. Beeza! :)
Seems that three files in two days including the proofreading was a little too ambitious, so let's go with two files in two days, PLUS the complete joy of getting to my own writing.
Fingers crossed this grand experiment works! :) :)
All for experimenting - we all need a revised action plan - the important thing is to try it, learn from it, make it more realistic. Good luck!
Thanks! Yeah.. got to adjust to make it more realistic.. but realistic is good.. :)

Hope you're not having technical problems with Write-Track? Give me a shout if you are :-)
Hope the tech problems are sorted - damn IT for scuppering your quick and efficient proofread
Thanks you both.. :) Tech problems not with Write-Track.. :) And these pieces of work are now DONE.. :)
Revived my dormant goodreads account last night. And today finally began creating proper shelves and populating them with books and related ephemera that I love, or at very least have encountered. Why is this NOT a diversionary activity (:))? Because acknowledging a long-standing love of a very eclectic set of books (& etc.) is surely the other side of the coin of inveterate scribbling.
Being more open, really more open finally about the things which inspire me, makes the membrane between what's going on in here, the way I see the world (skewed, yes, but MINE), and the world outside that much more permeable. Scary air out there.. but freshhh... :) So perhaps sometime soon I can let some ideas out of this bubble into the people-space out there too.
And yes, I have eaten rather too much chocolate today. Can you tell? :) :)
